Biography

Hannah Parry is a versatile London-based violinist and recorder player specializing in historical performance. In 2022, she earned her Master’s degree with distinction from the Royal College of Music (RCM), where she was awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Rose Bowl and McKenna Prize for outstanding achievements in baroque performance. Her studies were supported by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and her instruments were funded by the Royal Philharmonic Society.

Currently studying classical and romantic violin performance at the Jeune Orchestre de l’Abbaye in France, under the guidance of Bojan Čičić, Hannah continues to refine her expertise across multiple repertoires. As a soloist and principal violinist, she has performed internationally, including leading roles at the Misiones de Chiquitos Festival in Bolivia and collaborations with renowned ensembles such as Florilegium and the Academy of Ancient Music.

In addition to her solo work, Hannah is an active member of two chamber ensembles: Triple Fipple, a recorder trio, and The Galliard Group, which specializes in historical performance. These collaborations allow her to explore diverse musical contexts and bring early music to audiences in new and engaging ways. Her performances have taken her to prestigious venues such as the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall, Buckingham Palace, and Windsor Castle, and have included broadcasts on BBC Radio 3.

Beyond historical music, Hannah explores contemporary applications of the recorder, continually expanding its role in modern compositions. Her versatility across both historical and contemporary genres has led to performances across Europe, South America, and North America, with a deep commitment to both preserving and innovating within early music traditions.
